Jordan's Museums Official Website
It was established in 1979 within a group of ancient houses where many mosaic floors were discovered. The museum is made of two parts:
1. Mādabā Archaeological Museum where acquisitions are exhibited inside according to the archaeological site in Mabada Governorate and surrounding urban regions in chronological order. It includes a collection of artefacts such as pottery, coins, and mosaic panels.
2. Mādabā Folklore Museum It was established to preserve the local heritage of Mādabā and surrounding villages. It includes a collection of jewelry and traditional costumes that tell the story of Mādabā heritage through different ages and symbolize the richness of local heritage.
